Mollie-isms

For those of you who know Mollie very well, know that she is a mess! She has the typical 3-year-old mind of her own, is extremely stubborn, but also very sweet (when she wants to be!). Mollie has always been a great sleeper, except as a baby she had to be in a bed when she was tired. Holding her, rocking, being in the car....nothing worked. She was a tough baby, and just wanted her bed. Well, now she still occasionally tries to put herself to bed (she'll just say she's ready for bed, give kisses and go). But no matter what time she goes to bed, she almost always gets up between 6-6:30. We've taught her that she has to stay in her bed until the "sun comes up"-meaning it is light outside. Well, the a few days ago, I came up at 6am to get Morgan up for school and Mollie's light was on. I checked in the bathroom and in her room but couldn't find her. Finally, after calling her name, she answered from her closet. She was sitting on her closet floor reading books. But on her floor was her pillow with all of her "friends" laying on it. She insists on sleeping with all of them and notices if even one is missing!

And now on to what I like to call "mollie-isms"....Mollie's speech isn't perfectly clear like we were used to with Morgan, but what does come out is very well-thought out and intelligent.
1. High School Musical is a Disney movie that is very clean and like a modern day Grease. It teaches great values like working together, staying true to yourself, etc. Both girls are VERY into it and until the end of the second movie, there's not even any kissing. Troy and Gabriella kiss at the very very end. Well, Mollie tried to kiss me like that a few weeks ago. I went on to try to explain in 3 year old terms that you have to be an adult and that you have to have a girl and a boy to kiss like that. Not that Troy and Gabriella are really adults, but the reason worked for her. Well, last weekend my parents were here and she tried the same thing with my dad. He asked what she was doing and she replied, "It's otay, you a boy AND a 'dult' (adult)." Dad about lost it.

2. Mollie always uses "she" instead of "her"
Ex: "I like she's dress. It's very cute."

3. "Awtause" instead of because
Ex: "I need to put this dress on awtause I need to be a beautiful princess!"

4. When she doesn't want to take a nap, she claims she can't walk.
Ex: "I can't walk" -Mollie
"I know you're tired and that's why you need a nap"- Lori
"I can't walk- I'm all out of energy" -Mollie
5. "be"
"I be looking for you!"

I'm sure there are plenty more. You learn Mollie language when you're around her any length of time! She is hilarious, and very sweet. She'll just randomly come and kiss you and say "I love you berry berry berry much!"
