MIa's surgery

Things could not have gone more perfectly on Monday for Mia's surgery (once we finally got registered...long story). She actually fell asleep in my lap for about an hour while we waited so she didn't even get fussy from being hungry. When they called her, she let them take her vitals, etc and was very charming with the drs and nurses. Of course, they were oohing and aahing over her and she just smiled and pulled on their name badges, etc. She looked adorable sitting on the bed/crib with her little white Vanderbilt scrubs on. Luckily she's at an easy age and really only usually gets upset if I walk out of the room. On Monday, she was too busy checking out all the new people, that we were able to sneak out and within 20 minutes, the surgeon was already talking to us about how well it went. She woke up quickly, drank some water, then 1/2 a bottle and we were sent home. We were told of all the many possible side affects of anesthesia, but she didn't have any. She was laughing at her sisters as soon as we arrived home and has eaten and slept normally ever since. Not once has she even acted like she's in pain. She just keeps moving her mouth like there's a new toy in there!!
