Happy Halloween 2008!

We Trick-or-Treated for a short time tonight before the girls got cold and tired of walking and wanted to come home! I think they had a better time answering the door and handing out the candy. At least Mollie didn't cry and go hysterical this year at every mask or painted face she saw. She only cried once because of a dog!

Mia must be thinking..."Do I really have to wear this huge fluffy dress again?!"

Our three princesses...
Here's how Mia felt after her first night of trick-or-treating! Check out her thunder thighs!

Pinkalicious!

Morgan had to dress as a storybook character today. They weren't supposed to just wear their Halloween costumes....so this was the way of getting around that! We chose Pinkalicious about a little girl who eats too many pink cupcakes and turns entirely pink. It's a really cute story.

Mia's new talent!

Just tonight while we were eating dinner, Mia discovered that she can hit her toys in her bouncy seat. She was so cute winding up to swing at them. I think she's right-handed. Her eyes would get huge after she'd hit something like "did I do that?" and then she smiles like she's so proud! So sweet!

She lost it!!

Morgan FINALLY lost her first tooth yesterday at school. She had been very anxious since she's about to turn 7!!! It had been barely hanging on for a couple weeks now, but being her first, she wouldn't let anyone touch it to get it out. She said it fell out and didn't even hurt. The tooth fairy was very generous since it was the first one!

Columbus Day skit

Morgan's 1st grade class had a Columbus Day skit this afternoon. Mollie, Mia and I were able to go. Mia was tired and fussy but fortunately an E.A. (that we know well from me helping so much last year) took her so that I could video and stay in the room!

Mollie and Cecily's play day!

On Wednesday, we had Cecily all day (the time that Morgan was at school anyway 7:30-2:45). Cecily is 3 months to the day older than Mollie. They haven't played together in over a year because her family moved to Chattanooga last June. Her mom, Shelle, is one of my very best friends who I spent nearly every day with, either working out, having lunch or doing school or church stuff. Their son is just 3 days younger than Morgan, Tim and Shelle were married the week after Jason and me and on and on. Needless to say, we miss them very much and Mollie was thrilled when she got to spend the day with Cecily!

....watching a few minutes of TV

She wouldn't smile for a pretty picture!

....swinging on the glider

She decided to play dolls...with Mia!!! Mia thought it was funny though!

....coloring pictures....Notice Mia laying in front of them!
....silly faces!!!
They had a fun day together!

Fall Festival with church group at Pumpkin Farm

As soon as we returned from our weekend in Birmingham, we hurried and got ready for our church's Fall Festival at the Pumpkin Farm. The kids were supposed to wear their costumes, but when you're a princess, it's a little difficult to run around a farm! We made do and had lots of fun. ...ready to leave...I had Mia propped up in a Bumbo seat so I could get her dress better but she couldn't hold herself very well!

Mollie and Morgan...
Mollie feeding some goats!
They finally made their way out of the corn maze!
A family picture ...except Sleeping Beauty (aka Mia) was asleep and I wasn't about to wake her for a picture!

Fall Break

Fall Break is officially over now and Morgan will return to school tomorrow morning. The girls and I drove up to Indiana to spend a few days with Grandma and Grandpa and then this weekend, we all went to Birmingham to visit Jason's mom and brother. While in Indy, we visited a pumpkin patch/ apple orchard, visited cousins and aunts/uncles, went to Riley Days and even saw Uncle Craig (but just for about an hour). He was in town on business and was constantly working but they let us take him to dinner real quick. Mollie (having always loved men) was very excited and he had to sit between the girls at dinner. Then, after we dropped him back off, she said "I like he!" Lovely grammar, huh?
I couldn't resist this picture!

Morgan making caramel apples that she couldn't eat because she's about to lose her first tooth...finally.
