Mollie's graduation

On Tuesday of this week, Mollie graduated from preschool! I can't believe that our sweet little (not really) Mollie-bug is this old already! She was so excited for this night...she tried on about 6 dresses after school to find the perfect one.
Here she is entering with her class:

Posing after she received her diploma!
Mollie with 2 of her best friends...Kealan (notice the size difference). They sat next to each other in class too, which made her look even smaller and Mollie even bigger! And she's 4 months older than Mollie!
Macie and Mollie (they're old church friends too!)
Mollie with her teacher, Ms. Tammy. She told me she really hated to lose Mollie and that she wanted to keep her. Apparantly, Mollie is quite the "rule-follower" at school! This is the song they sing at the end of graduation every year...you'd think I wouldn't cry since I'd already heard it 2 years ago with Morgan. No such luck. Watch til the end...it's really cute.
It goes something like this:
I"m so glad I came to Smyrna Preschool
This is where I learned my ABC's
Numbers, Shapes, Writing and Manners,
But most of all that God loves me.
So thank you dear parents and family,
for sending me to a place so cool.
I'll miss my friends, and teachers and Mr. Danny,
but now it's time to go to Big School!
WE'RE OUT OF HERE!!!!

Mother's Day

We were home this year for Mother's Day and Jason' s mom actually came up for the weekend. We got some beautiful pictures that day.
The day before, Morgan and I went to a Mother/Daughter spa day put on by the Girl Scouts. Unfortunately it wasn't mani/pedis, but we made homeade bath gel, lip gloss, body wash, bubbles, etc.

Me and my girls!

Been a long time...

Jason "scolded" me last night for not updating this in a month! I held my tongue and didn't tell him that HE could learn to do it too! So anyway, here goes. We've been very busy here getting toward the end of school. Morgan's school had sock hop dance to celebrate the end of testing. Here she is with some of her best friends: Ella, Jenny and Gracelyn

Then, the 1st grade had poetry night. Their room was transformed into a coffee shop with white holiday lights draped across the ceiling and black round tables and jazz music playing. Everyone wore berretts (sp?) and snapped after the readings. They each read 2 poems with a partner or group, then recited 2 original poems they'd written!
Also, within the last month or so was the 1st grade musical/play, where Morgan's class were dancing chefs. If she looks funny in this picture and doesn't smile during the performance, it is because we realized later, she had fever and strep throat!!! Oops.

Can you tell that Morgan goes to an Arts Magnet school? Lots of art, music, performing.... We think Mollie will really thrive when she gets there!
